CEO & CTO, STAr Technologies

Choon-Leong LOU (Ph.D.) has served as CEO since founding STAr in 2000. He is responsible for charting overall strategies and R&D within the group. Dr. Lou was honored with the 2001 Outstanding Enterprise Leadership of the Republic of China Award from the MOE Taiwan and was also awarded with the Young Business Start-up Award 2003 by Shell Live-WIRE in Singapore.

Dr. LOU holds B. Eng. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from National University of Singapore, respectively. He has also obtained EMBA degree from Golden Gate University. 

Chairman & President, Test & Measurement Business Unit, STAr Technologies

Yu-Ming CHIEN is the co-founder and serves as President of Test & Measurement Business Unit since founding STAr in 2000. He is responsible for the sales and engineering supporting of parametric and reliability test systems.

Mr. CHIEH obtained a Bachelor degree (Control Engineering) and a Master degree (Electronic Engineering) from National Chiao Tung University.

President, Automatic Test Equipment Business Unit, STAr Technologies

Paul CHEN joined our group in 2002 and now serves as President of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Business Unit. He is responsible for the business development, sales and technical support of all ATE related products within the group.

Mr. Chen graduated from National Taiwan University with a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and obtained a MBA degree from National Chengchi University.

Financial Controller, STAr Technologies

Lydia CHENG joins STAr in 2004 and currently serves as the Financial Controller of STAr Technologies. She oversees accounting, financial reporting and the implementation and monitoring of internal controls.

Ms. CHENG holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Tunghai University,

General Manager, Korea Operations, STAr Technologies Korea

Byong-Sun CHOI joins STAr Korea as sales manager in 2002 and currently serves as General Manager of Korea, overseeing the development of STAr Korea subsidiary.

Mr. CHOI graduated from KookMin University with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. 

President, US Operations, STAr-Edge Technologies, Inc.

Dan Hicks was Principal Designer and Engineering Manager at STAr-Edge (Formerly STAr-KVD) for the last 18 years, has been instrumental in development of new instruments and architectures and management of the group’s Research and Development.

Mr. HICKS earned his education with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Gonzaga University, followed up with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from UCSD (University of California – San Diego).

President, China Operations, STAr Technologies (Wuhan) Co., Ltd.

Wei LIU joined STAr Singapore in 2010 as a project manager. With his excellent leadership, he was assigned to establish STAr subsidiary in People’s Republic of China in 2011. He currently serves as Deputy General Manager of STAr Wuhan with charter to lead the R&D, sales and service support teams in China.

Wei LIU received Ph. D. in Mechanical Enginnering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and obtained B. Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China.

Vice President of Sales and Business Development, STAr-Edge Technologies, Inc.

Albert Ninalga joined STAr-Edge in February 2019. With his many years of his Senior Executives experiences and accomplishments in all the facets of the top Probe Card companies worldwide he was assigned to establish Business Development and Sales in STAr-Edge San Jose, CA.

Mr. NINALGA obtained his Bachelor Science Degree in Electronics Engineering from Lyceum of Philippines University and Minor, Global Business Leadership and Innovation in San Jose State University, San Jose, CA.

Vice President, Singapore Operations, STAr-Quest Technologies Pte. Ltd.

Nigel Chong has served as a Director since 2018. He joined STAr Singapore as the General Manager in 2023. With over 18 years of experience in semiconductor test and measurement, he is currently leading the STAr-Quest team and overseeing the business development.
 

Mr. CHONG holds a first class honor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queensland University of Technology.
